Today was the first day I started to train for my first 5K. The reason why I decided to do this is I am a goal oriented person. Once I set a goal I need to complete it. Plus, since I had my physical yesterday and being only 34 and on the wrong path health wise I need to get it in check.
I took Bella with me and she seemed to really enjoy the jogging part. This is how the first walk/jog went.
Warm up - 7 minutes
Jog - 1 minute
Walk - 5 minute
Jog - 1 minute
Walk - 5 minute
Jog - 1 minute
Walk - 5 minute
Jog - 1 minute
Walk - 5 minute
Jog - 1 minute
Cool Down - 6 minutes
Total = 2 miles in 38 minutes
For this week I will continue doing this. Each week I will add 10 seconds to each jog.
